Nharmony International is currently a registered domestic nonprofit with our federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status officially in progress.

According to IRS guidelines, once our 501(c)(3) status is approved, it will be retroactive back to our date of formation. This means that donations made while our application is pending are expected to become retroactively tax-deductible. We will automatically follow up with all of our donors and provide official tax receipts as soon as our determination letter is received. Because tax situations vary, we recommend consulting a tax professional regarding your contributions in the meantime.

Your donation is managed through our International Headquarters in Tucson, Arizona, and is directly applied to our operations in Rishikesh, India. We prioritize high-impact, direct-to-child services in the following areas:

• Empowerment Workshops: Funding the PhD-led life coaching and emotional intelligence training that helps children build self-esteem and resilience.

• Essential Resources: Providing Hygiene Packs (soap, dental care, clean water tools) and Communication Kits (educational supplies and social navigation tools) that children from illiterate households often lack.

• On-the-Ground Operations: Supporting our Indian Affiliate Headquarters in Rishikesh, which serves as a safe hub for workshops, mentoring, and community outreach.

• Sustainability & Growth: A small portion of every gift ensures we maintain our 501(c)(3) legal compliance and the ability to reach more families in underserved slum communities.

Yes, Nharmony International gratefully accepts in-kind donations that align with our current program needs. However, due to the high cost of international shipping and customs regulations in India, we handle these donations in two specific ways:

1. Priority Professional Services (Pro-Bono) We highly value "intellectual in-kind" gifts. If you are a professional in any of the following fields, your time and talent can make a massive impact:

• Legal & Accounting: Assistance with 501(c)(3) compliance and international operations.

• Marketing & Design: Help with our website, social media, and donor materials.

• IT & Web Development: Maintenance and security for our digital presence.

2. Physical Goods (Strategic Local Sourcing) While we appreciate the heart behind donating physical items like clothing or toys, we generally recommend monetary donations instead of shipping goods from the USA.

• Why? Shipping a $10 hygiene kit from the US to India can cost $50 in postage and customs fees.

• The Solution: When you donate the equivalent cash value, we buy those supplies locally in Rishikesh. This supports the local Indian economy and ensures 100% of your gift goes to the child rather than a shipping company.

3. Specific Equipment Needs Occasionally, we have specific needs for high-value items (such as laptops for our educational workshops or medical equipment for our wellness checks). A Note on Tax Receipts for In-Kind Gifts

How it Works:
